Hon. Martin Ngoga, Judge President of the East African Court of Justice Hon. Justice Nestor Kayobera and other member of staff from EAC accompanied him.

East African airspace shut down in mid-March in an attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Now, as airports across the region prepare to reopen, it is vital for the safety of both staff and passengers, that all involved in the aviation industry are trained and well versed in how to deal with COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. EAC-CASSOA OPERATIONAL ACTIONS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The rapid spread of Novel Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) across the world has been attributed to human mobility across countries, largely driven by air travel. Needless to say, many of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the EAC region have also had a history of air travel. It is important to note that some airline operators are based in or transit through the East African Community Partner States, and operate direct flights into the affected Region. (more…)

Fourteen (14) resolutions made during the 5th EAC Aviation Symposium
