EAC UFIR Project Team, AN Regulators, Drafters and Legal Experts Meet in CASSOA HQ.
20th August 2018. A joint EAC working group meeting to review the Manual of air navigation services operations (Air Traffic Management and Communication, Navigation and Surveillance) in order to incorporate EAC UFIR seamless operation took place in Entebbe, Uganda. The meeting was attended by EAC UFIR (Upper Flight Information Region) Project team, Air Navigation Regulators, Draftspersons and Legal experts.
Eng. Barongo Ronny, Manager CNS and CWG CNS from CAA Uganda chaired the meeting and Mr. Sinarinzi Sylvestre, Chief ANS Inspector – Burundi CAA was rapporteur. The meeting deliberated on Current ATM related MANSOPs, way forward on review/harmonization of ATM related MANSOPs, current CNS related MANSOPs, review/harmonization of CNS related MANSOPs, and review/harmonization of ATM & CNS related MANSOPs to incorporate seamless operations.
The meeting ended on Friday 24th August 2018 with a number of recommendations to be considered by CASSOA Technical Committee – Regulatory and other stake holders.
EAC CASSOA
