Visit by CS Munya and Chair of the Council
Today, March 21st 2018 EAC CASSOA was Honored to receive Cabinet Secretary for East African Community and Northern Corridor Development Hon. Peter Munya and Chairman of the EAC Council of Ministers, Hon. Dr Ali Kirunda Kivenjija, Uganda’s Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Affairs at our exhibition desk in the 6th Academia Public Private Partneship Forum in Nairobi Kenya. The distinguished guests were accompanied by IUCEA Executive Secretary, Prof. Alexandre Lyambabje. Lilian Mwenda and Emily Bukebuke from EAC CASSOA briefed the Hon. Guest about the activities of the Agency. The Forum is expected to run for Two days at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa; Bogani East Road, Nairobi Kenya.
The Forum organizers – IUCEA, EABC and EADB – are in a partnership aimed at providing the point of connection between knowledge and human resources produced by higher education institutions in the region on the one hand, and the dissemination of the same to the private sector for their eventual diffusion into the productive, social and service sectors on the other. One of the joint activities under the partnership is to jointly organizing dialogue forums and exhibitions, aimed at enhancing the linkage between the private sector and higher education institutions through engagement with the public sector. These Forums provide a fertile engagement environment for promoting the utilization of higher education research output and innovations by the private sector/business community.
